Sedation Dentistry

We are pleased to offer our patients comfortable, safe, and effective sedation dentistry, as safety is our main concern. Currently, we offer Nitrous oxide (laughing gas) and mild conscious sedation.

Please consider sedation dentistry if you have:

  • A fear or anxiety visiting the dentist
  • Difficulty sitting still for long periods of time
  • Trouble getting numb or staying numb with traditional methods

Which method is right for me?

Nitrous oxide is inhaled during your dental procedure. It can be adjusted throughout treatment to keep you at a comfortable level of sedation. You are awake and aware of what is happening but feel very relaxed and less anxiety. You’re also able to drive home after!

Mild Sedation —Oral sedation is best suited for patients with more severe anxiety, undertaking a long procedure, or have more complex situations. You remain awake or very sleepy throughout the entire procedure, are able to breathe on your own, and feel a great sense of relaxation. Patients typically recover from anxiolysis sedation a few hours after the procedure is complete. A driver is necessary for the ride home.
